Last updated: March 2026
Accuracy matters. Michigan STEAM Kids is committed to providing reliable information that parents can trust when making decisions about their children's education. This policy explains how we handle errors, updates, and content freshness.
Reporting an Error
If you notice inaccurate, outdated, or misleading information on any page of Michigan STEAM Kids, please let us know. You can report errors through our Contact page.
When reporting an error, please include:
The page or program listing where the error appears
A description of what is incorrect
The correct information, if you know it
A source or link supporting the correction, if available
We take every report seriously and aim to review and respond within 2–3 business days.
How We Handle Corrections
Factual Errors
If we confirm that a listing contains a factual error — such as incorrect pricing, wrong dates, an inaccurate age range, or a broken registration link — we will correct it as quickly as possible. We do not leave known factual errors in place.
Outdated Information
STEM and STEAM programs change frequently. Providers update pricing, schedules, locations, and availability throughout the year. When we identify outdated information, we update the listing with current details.
If a program has ended, been discontinued, or is no longer accepting registrations, we follow our internal expired program guidelines. Depending on the situation, we may update the listing with a note about the program's status, retain the listing for programs likely to recur, or remove the listing if the program is permanently discontinued.
Editorial Clarifications
If our editorial framing of a program is misleading, unclear, or could cause a parent to misunderstand what a program offers, we will revise the content. We do not change our editorial tone to match a provider's marketing preferences, but we do ensure our descriptions are fair and accurate.
Transparency About Changes
Every listing on Michigan STEAM Kids includes a "Last Reviewed" date. When we make a substantive correction or update to a listing, we update this date so readers can see when the information was last verified.
For significant corrections (such as major pricing changes or program cancellations), we may add a brief editorial note to the listing explaining what changed.
Our Review Cycle
We proactively review listings on a regular cycle, not just in response to reports. Seasonal programs are reviewed before each season. Year-round programs are reviewed quarterly or semi-annually. Pages identified as high-traffic or high-visibility receive more frequent review.
For details on how we evaluate and review programs, see our Review Methodology.
